On March 22, 2024, as part of the initiative “Planting Trees for Lower Saxony,” we created a DS Forest in Wardenburg (district of Oldenburg). In total, we sponsored 1,800 climate-resistant trees.

Under the leadership of the Eriksen Foundation and with the support of 24 dedicated employees from various DS companies, the planting project was successfully implemented. Equipped with rubber boots and spades, we worked together and planted the young trees in just three hours. Afterwards, we used the remaining time to sow flower seeds and further promote biodiversity on the emerging green space.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” width=”90%” custom_padding=”0px||0px||true|false” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][dsm_masonry_gallery gallery_ids=”2779,2778,2777,2776,2775,2774″ lazyload=”on” dsm_sort_images=”off” use_overlay=”on” overlay_title=”off” overlay_caption=”off” overlay_description=”off” use_lightbox=”on” overlay_color=”rgba(60,60,59,0.55)” use_zoom_on_hover=”on” admin_label=”Supreme Masonry Gallery” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” custom_margin=”||30px||false|false” locked=”off” global_colors_info=”{}”][/dsm_masonry_gallery][et_pb_divider color=”#D4D4D4″ divider_weight=”1px” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_divider][et_pb_image src=”https://ds-bremen.de/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/zitat.svg” title_text=”Quote” admin_label=”Anfürhungszeichen” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” max_width=”80px” module_alignment=”left” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][et_pb_text admin_label=”Zitat” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”1.8em” text_line_height=”1.1em” text_font_size_tablet=”1.6em” text_font_size_phone=”1.6em” text_font_size_last_edited=”on|tablet” global_colors_info=”{}”]

Our vision was to plant a new tree for each employee. They are natural climate protectors that produce oxygen through photosynthesis. A single tree can provide oxygen for about ten people each year[1].
