Our Responsibility
Sustainability in the
Diersch & Schröder Group
We take a systematic and also courageous approach to sustainability and transformation – utilising the tried and tested, building on the new while securing profitability, stability and growth in the process. With our strategic sustainability process, we have bundled our previous activities and defined our understanding of sustainablility, our topics and our objectives. We are now systematically taking the next steps. To this end, we intend to further develop our group across all three business divisions.
Shaping Change Successfully
Why Sustainability?
Energy, our core business, has always been the lifeblood of our society. How we produce and use this energy in the future will change significantly in the coming decades. As an energy and chemical company, we see it as our task to break new ground in order to drive this transformation forward.
For us, sustainability means a consistent focus on the long term. For us, sustainability is a great opportunity to open up new customers and markets and an important driver for more innovation and excellence – both for our daily activities and for the further development of the DS Group.
Doing things better today than yesterday is what we do, and that is our DNA.
– Jan Christiansen, CEO of the DS Group

In terms of ecological sustainability, we see ourselves as a crucial player in shaping transformation together with our customers.
We are here for our customers today, and we will continue to be there for them in the future with the products of tomorrow. Finally, we focus on the economic dimension of sustainability. Through sound financial management, competitiveness, innovation and ongoing development, we aim to secure positive economic growth for our companies, enabling us to remain a reliable employer and a catalyst for future social and ecological change.
