ECOVIA Holding GmbH, a group company of the Diersch Schröder Group from Bremen, acquires all shares in ENERGU GmbH, a young company from the Rhön region. The founders will remain on board as managing directors in the long term to continue the successful course.
ENERGU GmbH has been active and successful in the development and operation of charging infrastructure for electromobility since its foundation in 2019. The German federal government has recently created the conditions for the electrification of road traffic with the “Masterplan Charging Infrastructure II”. By 2030, approximately one million public charging points are to be installed in Germany.
This offers ENERGU GmbH great growth opportunities for its own development. The young company plans and operates nearly 1,000 charging points nationwide in semi-public and public areas. ENERGU acts as a full-service provider, delivering everything from hardware, planning, to installation, acceptance, and operation from a single source. This success story is to be continued. Arthur Schneider, founder and managing director, comments: “The order books are well filled. What we have lacked so far is a partner who supports us with commercial experience, capital, and a good network.”
“Quick decision-making processes and long-term partnerships are crucial success factors for a sustainable business,” adds his brother Paul Schneider (Co-Founder).
“Electromobility and thus charging infrastructure will be important components of our energy business field strategy in the future. ENERGU GmbH fits perfectly into this strategy,” says Jan Christiansen, CEO of the Diersch Schröder Group. Christoph Avé-Lallemant, COO of the Energy business field, adds: “For our company, an investment in this segment has been planned for a long time. We are so convinced of the market potential that we decided not only to seek a stake in ENERGU GmbH but to go all out and acquire all shares.”
As a medium-sized family business, Diersch Schröder brings exactly the factors desired by ENERGU into the new partnership. Over 100 years of experience, coupled with a Hanseatic and down-to-earth DNA, are the characteristics of the DS Group. In the energy segment, the group operates as a wholesaler and supplier of fuels and mobility for about 300,000 customers. DS wants to continue to provide this mobility to its customers in the future and has embarked on the path of transformation. Electromobility from green power production is an important component for the fuel mix of the future, Steffen Koplin (Head of M and Projects) is quoted as saying. With our in-house start-up, we took the first step in this direction last year. The partnership with ENERGU is now the second logical step. More will follow.
Both sides are looking forward to working together in the coming years and are convinced that they will take on a prominent and successful role in the steadily growing electromobility market.
The Diersch Schröder Group was advised on the transaction by the law firm ADVANT Beiten in Freiburg; the sellers were advised by lawyer Alexander Klein from Nuremberg.
